Hamburg, 3 July 2017 - The agreement has been concluded: the newly established company NordBit GmbH & Co. KG, based in Hamburg, starts selling bitumen and bitumen components on 1 August 2017

As early as November 2016, the Petronord subsidiary Mabanol Bitumen GmbH & Co. KG - Hamburg and H & R Refining GmbH - Salzbergen, the establishment of a joint venture. This agreement has been approved by German Cartel authority. Both partners participate for equal shares and bring their experiences to this new company.

Managers of NordBit are Robertus van Lingen - from Mabanol Bitumen - and Angela Sahm from H & R Refining. Petronord is a subsidiary of Mabanaft, the trading organization of Marquard & Bahls AG, Hamburg. In the Petronord group, companies are active in Germany and Austria in domestic fuel oil, diesel fuels, lubricants, petrol stations, trade in bitumen, wood pellets and natural gas.

The Hansen & Rosenthal group of companies (www.hur.de) is active in the development, production and sale of chemical-pharmaceutical specialties. H & R GmbH & Co. KGaA has 2 specialty refineries in Germany, in Hamburg and in Salzbergen (Germany). The H & R Refining GmbH is a subsidiary of the Hansen & Rosenthal group and until now was responsible for selling the bitumen of these refineries.
